no, it doesnt matter WHERE the SQL server is located at.

once you have the gameserver and the sql server running on different machines, a new problem comes up :

the SQL-Server most likely will not accept any connections except localhost, meaning :

your gameserver tries to establish a connection ...

which version of wc3ft ? using the vault ? or sql ?

Check the vault.ini -> data/vault.ini . Is the file writeable ( CHMOD 777 ? )

enable the sql module, enter in the war3ft.cfg the correct login data for the sql server, set the sql server to accept a connection from the gameserver

just thought of a way :

in v2.1 :

still some problems : while in shadowmeld mode, the screen in fading to a slight blue, and of course u remain invisible.... however, as soon as someone flashbang or hits you, the effects ...

Is tehere a way for 2.3 to restrict humans in this case to teleport on a certain map ?

we made a nice aim map, unfortunately people are using the teleport to get into the enemy`s base, not really the essence of an aim map, isn`t ...

4) no extra xps are given for grenade kills, the only thin u can do ( pre V3 - only got the latest V2 installed, never touches V3 ) is to enable the option to give more xps on weaker weapns ( grenades included )

go to ultimates.inl in amxmodx/scripting/war3ft , line 1417, there should be something like :

set_task(1.0,"_Ultimate_BigBadVoodoo",TASK_RESETGOD+id,parm,2)

change 1.0 to the ammount of seconds you want the voodoo to last for.

then save, recompile, upp the amxx and done !

first : post the first few lines of your war3ft.cfg file.... common problems with folks tht are just copying and pasting the default is that savexp is not yet enabled

unfortunately no errors in any config files. as far as i know the only chance that had to be made in the config files was in war3ft.cfg -> setting up the right sql server, users, db , table and password from the "old" server was / is exactly the same. So, if I made any mistake there... shoot me ...

of course do u need to use a tabe, where else would u want to write the data into ?

edit the ON_UPDATE option in the sql statement and the table will be created.... however, if u leave the upate option out, pruning the db wont work... missing date field ;)

both our servers were running fine on the SQL XP`s until fri night when the db went offline, switched providers.

I made a backup ( gzip ) via phpmyadmin of the existing DB, waited for the new server to come online ( sat moring ...

well.... resetting and reinstalling the os helped... seems like wc3ft doesnt like the newest metamod... working now. . .

simple solution : u do have the option no_gloves_on_ka ( or similar ) set to "1" in the war3ft.cfg ? good !

next step : go to your scripting folder, locate "other.inl" ( scripting -> war3ft )

locate the first few lines and edit them .... voila !

quite simple : u connect to your mysql server ( preferrably using phpmyadmin ) -> privilieges -> then u edit the user u want to allow access to the db -> Change Login Information / Copy User -> Host -> set to either any or the ip of your server ( which would be much more safer ;) )[/b]

owner of the file is another user is the ftpuser, the user i run the server with is a member of the group the file is owned by, chmod is set on 770...

Well, downloaded the 2.3.2, added the sprite file, then uploaded everything onto the server again... stil not workin... thts why it troubles me, cant see any logic explanation y it shouldnt run ???? the file wc3 is complaining about definately is there... but it cant see it or open ( chmod on 770 ...

I was setting up a new CS1.6 Server with wc3, doing so, i copied the "addon" folder from our existing server to my hdd, then, after installing stem on the root, simply transfering it back up again... of course having adjusted all the modules to amd64 instead ...

but u could edit the level requirements for LVL10 .... scale is down, factor .1 and defunsing the bomb once should give u enoug XPs to get to lvl 10 in ine round... and / or raise the xps given for kiling an enemy... if 1 kill gives u 10k xps... well.... welcome to lvl 10 in no time

go to your war3ft.cfg file, somewhere you have the option to assign specific skills from all the races to your cham... example :

skill one is randomly chosen from race 3
skill two is randomly chosen from race 6
etc...

but then on the other hand tht is what makes the cam interesting...

simple : go to the scripting folder, then wa3ft folder, open the file "other.inl" , go to the bottom, there is a string for all the shopmenu items, edit it, recompile and done.
