as an aside, Geesu and I looked deeply into modding WAR3X for source, and there is almost no functionality available for server modding. I have almost no faith in a reliable warcraft mod for source.
I am a noob at this but just a suggestion, would it be an option to approach valve to enable the functionality required to make not just a WC3 mod but im sure others too?
valve does not support the modding community AT ALL, in fact they have removed more functionality from source for server modders than was available when it first came out. how cheesy is that?
I wonder if they would change their mind if a large enough "petition" would come their way?
Maybe in the form of "registered users" on a website where everyone who signs up gives their email address and the list of nicknames and email addresses are then sent to valve, this way it wouldnt take long and im sure with enough advertising people would do this.
Mani has been adding functionality with his admin mod, but War3 for Source is still just clunky use of Mattie's EventScripts. PimpinJuice *is* totally rewriting the code for the CSS War3 mod and the beta servers he is testing it on do look to be a LOT better than the 1.85 version.
It's at least War3 for source and it is getting better all the time.
SourceMOD is on the way again soon, using the Small engine for scripting just like AMXX. As soon as there's a Beta of SM ready I will be converting WC3 XP.
Lazarus Long: And I know you didn't because the Server Files are version 2.2.6 and the file you posted is version 2.2.5, so do as I told you above and don't ever lie to me again or help is gone!
i hate valve....wtf omfg ffs wats their problem. does anyone know y they dont support the modding community, cs source was orginally a mod itself, are they afraid of someone making it better than they have, or is it just their pride.

He was one of the authors of adminmod. He left to work for valve. AdminMod is designed with limited functionality to "protect players" and thus is probably his "reasoning" for limiting CS:AdminMod, I mean CS:Source... In reality he probably considers modules like AMXModX to be his competition.
While I have nothing against adminmod (as I was on the team at one point) I do have a problem with turning CS into the Wallmart of the gaming community. That is, I don't like the idea of incorporating a plugin scripting system into cs:s providing only limited interface for other third-party plugin scripting engines. Did I explain this well enough?

This, of course, is just my opinion based on limited background knowledge. It could be wrong.
