whats IRC and how u use it

whats IRC and how u use it? what software do u need? i know i am an idiot that dont know how irc works
You can always download mIRC and use it for the length of the trial.
Or, you can use GameSurge's online IRC, found here ( http://www.gamesurge.net/chat/ )
If you use the online one, once you connect and stuff, type "/part #welcome" and then type "/join #wc3mods". To change your name, type "/nick Name"
If you are using mIRC, you can type "/server irc.gamesurge.net" to join the server, then type "/join #wc3mods" to join us. To change your name, type "/nick Name"
