Installing a MySQL server onto a server is different than allowing wc3ft to connect to MySQL. Which are you asking?

Also, if you don't want to mess with MySQL, just use SQLite

For SQLite, I recommend using RC9+ and AMXx 1.8+. Just set it to save to SQLite and you will be fine.

For MySQL, I can't do the video because I don't feel like it (it isn't that hard to figure out), I don't have any software that captures my screen in video format (and I don't want any), and Google answers all

I didn't get any complaints about xp loss when I was using RC10Beta and SQLite.

It is not that hard if you read how to do it.

The Beta releases are from the SVN. Just download the source from the SVN and you will be using the beta version.

To set up a MySQL server, you can either Google someplace that will host you one or you can go to http://dev.mysql.com and download it. There should be plenty of documentation on that site that will assist you in installing it and setting it up. Then, once that is complete, you just tell war3ft to save to it.

....... It is in the Announcements for a reason.

Anyways, here is a link to the SVN. http://svn.alliedmods.net/viewvc.cgi/tr ... ot=wc3mods

Here is a direct link to downloading it. http://svn.alliedmods.net/viewvc.cgi/tr ... s&view=tar

You will need to compile it yourself using AMXx 1.8 or higher. war3ft folder and war3ft.sma go in scripting folder to compile.

Yes PLEASE use SVN if you want to ensure no data loss with SQLite... There was a bug pre-RC9 that could potentially allow data loss :/
