Bug or cheat let users obtain unlimited amount of money

First of all. Im using the latest version of amx mod x, and war3ft plugin.

Two weeks ago i played on my server, and there was a mapchange. The first round an enemy approaches me, and i killed him. Then i notices he had a m4 gun, whitch costs $3100. The mp_startmoney on my server is 800.

I run to the bombspot at the ct spawn (de_cbble) and there i noticed 5-6 m16 laying on the ground. From there i went to spectator mode and started spectating the CTs.

At first I noticed a player bought the tome of experience 10-15 times at each round, and he bought many m16 which he threw on the ground to the other players. I asked the guy what kind of cheat he was up to. Did never get an answer, so i banned him. The last 14 days i have banned about 10 users witch has gained XP by buying tome of experience for about $50000 each round.

Everytime I ask people on the server, they say its a "money hack". Never got to what it really is.


My question is if this is a bug or a cheat (like wallhack and aimbot)?

If it is a bug, is it a CS bug, or a WAR3FT bug?

Have anyone else had the same experience as me?

I have tried googling "money cs" / "money hack" / "money war3ft" without any luck.

It's either an admin with amx_givemoney/amx_giveweapon or sv_cheats 1 is on.

No admins have access to the givemoney-command, but sv_cheats was 1. Will set this to 0. Thanks

It was sv_cheats 1. Which allows users to use Half-Life cheats like the money cheat. Add the followed to your server.cfg to prevent this from happening again.

I do know that everyrace can now have more than 16k in a round but after the round it resets to 16k
