Creating a LAN server

I want to create a LAN server (using new game in cs), not dedicated... i was wondering how this works and if it is even possible... besides how do u install war3ft so it works this way?

i'm using steam...

Install it the same way, but replace all the directories with the steam directory to the dedicated server steam stuff

First of all shall only move the folders (but where

) any1 got steam and now how to set this up?

There are folders and files in the download, but where shall i put the files

just delete them

The server Configuration are very confusing (my english aren't good neither)

(Geesu)Maybe u could make a steam user version of the complete installation

put the files in this directory

\Valve\Steam\SteamApps\your@emailhere\counter-strike\cstrike

I downloaded hlds and di everything the complete installation said, but it still doesn't work the only thing i didn't do was the ftp things...

anything i need to write in server console? and besides shall the files also be put in the steam dir if i use hlds to create the server?
